About the Conference
On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the College of Railway Transport of the USURT faculty, Yekaterinburg, Russian Federation, and 62 years of the Higher Education Railway School of Professional Studies, Belgrade, Republic of Serbia, it is our great pleasure to invite you to take part in our First International Conference "RAIL TRANSPORT IN THE MODERN WORLD". The conference will be held in Belgrade (Republic of Serbia), December 12th -13th, 2019, on the "JSC Serbian Railways" premises, at no. 6, Nemanjina Street.
Transport and communications represent the "bloodstream" of a society, a system, a country. Hence, we may freely say that the current level and development of traffic significantly determine the achieved level and development of society as a whole. If the development of traffic lags behind the development of society, then the level of traffic becomes its limiting aspect. In order for traffic to justify the role of the driver of the economy and the society as a whole, it should always keep pace with them in terms of its continuous development and adjustment to current and future challenges. This conference is an excellent opportunity for researchers, scholars and experts in the field of transport to present to the general public the latest sustainability polices and traffic development strategies, examples of good practice across the world and countries in the region, solutions to specific transport problems, the results of their scientific research, new models, technologies and achievements in the area covered by the conference.
